All data created within Mouse Maestro is stored locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults:

• Macro definitions and automation scripts you create
• Application preferences and settings
• All data remains on your device and is never transmitted elsewhere

Required Permissions

Mouse Maestro requires Accessibility permissions to function:

• Accessibility Access: Required to control your mouse cursor and keyboard input for automation purposes
• This permission is requested through macOS System Settings
• You can revoke this permission at any time through System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility
• We only use this permission to execute the automation actions you configure

How We Use Permissions

The Accessibility permission is used exclusively to:

• Move the mouse cursor to specified coordinates
• Perform mouse clicks and scrolling actions
• Simulate keyboard input and key presses
• Execute the automation macros you create

We do not monitor, record, or transmit any information about your mouse movements, clicks, or keyboard input beyond executing the specific actions you configure in your macros.

Third-Party Services

Mouse Maestro does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The app operates entirely offline and locally on your device.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device using macOS UserDefaults, your data is protected by macOS security features. We recommend:

• Keeping your macOS system up to date
• Using appropriate system-level security measures (FileVault, etc.)
• Regularly backing up your Mac to preserve your macro configurations

Children's Privacy

Mouse Maestro does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Since we do not collect any data, this is not applicable to our app.
